Hello, It would be great if tags could be hidden for specific user groups. Tags a great for organizing topics and forums, but when you have a paid community, there are things you need to limit and restrict to prevent access to certain topics, in this case, by using tags. It would help a lot to have the possibility to hide/show tags for specific user groups. Thanks

Good day folks, I love the word expansion feature in our community, the only issue I see with it is if I delete a word or acronym that I don't want linked in our content anymore, the html is still left in the content, would it be possible in the future to add an option for us to be able to strip html from content if a word or acronym is deleted at the Word Expansion portal? Where this option can come in handy, is if I owned a website that I am linking key words too, and I no longer own that website, or I change the domain, then I would be able to delete the word link in the Word Expansion, and or change the word link to direct to another website, also if I have key w…

Kind of surprised this isn't available already. It would be good to be able to import RSS feeds into club forums as well as standard ones.

Hi IPS, Any news on adding spam protection features to the Contact Us facility? My clients and I are currently being spammed senseless with the most blatant, clear as crystal offers of illegal drugs, degrading filth and other vile spam through the wide open portcullis that is Contact Us, into my otherwise fairly spam-free fortress that is IPS community. I've had about 21 since Monday! Generals @Lindy @Charles , it's time for a Call to Arms! Gather ye brave fighting men and women coders of IPS and rage war on this unnecessary evil: Add existing IPS Spam Prevention facility to Contact Us Add existing Q&A to Contact Us Extend existi…

Happens that general tagging idea changes over time in the community or community gets redesigned. It would be nice to rebuild existing topics to clear existing tags to get a rid of outdated ones.

As per title. Can you slightly redesign tags/prefixes system to allow enable prefixes without displaying/enabling tags? I know both systems are connected but I believe you can easily offer that mod.

Hey, Have a few ideas on how the badge system can be improved quite easily. At the moment, a rule for example, may say that a badge is awarded when a member joins a club. A way of upgrading this rule would be to allow admins the option to select a SPECIFIC club. For example, if they join the 'LGBTQ+' club, members are awarded a Pride flag badge or something. It would also be super helpful to extend this to specifics on posting in a specific thread, following a specific member etc. - giving community managers more creative options for engaging members and the community. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks, Liam

I wish the "username is also here" mention at the top of a forum or topic would not cause the entire content to shift up and down. For example instead adding more space above the forum name like this: Maybe it could be below the forum name?

The board has an option to Prune topics that haven't had a reply for X Days but is it possible to develop something via the board or an app, that prunes topics that haven't been viewed for X Days instead ? Sadly some important topics have been locked to prevent posts and these would be missed if they are removed.

CKEditor 4 is reaching the end of life (source). Instead of jumping onto the CKEditor 5 bandwagon, I propose Invision consider an alternative editor. There are many well-established modern editors such as, for example, TinyMCE, Froala, Quill, and Redactor, to name a few. Any of these would make satisfactory alternatives. CKEditor may be 'old school,' but it has become bloated, larger in file size and load time. Most of the issues it encounters often have to do with responsive layouts on a mobile device and excessive load time. As mobile continues to dominate the landscape, I feel it may be prudent to focus on an editor development that has kept up successful…

I noticed that blocks placed on the main downloads page also show on the Category View. It would be great to NOT have the block on the downloads page be visisble on the category view page(s). Depending on the number of files/categories... any blocks added can make the pages long.

Hello . I have a suggestion. Can popular Wallet service wise be added to as A Payment Gateway in Commerce app ? From which the member can pay directly into the Wise business account. If it does, it will be a pretty good addition. Because it is a good service that is fast becoming popular.

I wish clicking a link in a push notification would open a new tab on my browser (just like clicking a link in a notification email does), and not reload one of the currently opened tab on my forum as it currently does. That issue is discussed in the following topic: Thanks!

At the moment, we can only upload a graphical icon, so I suggest adding lazy loading. This helps the page load faster especially on a mobile device and eliminates the error in PageSpeed Insights {{elseif $forum->icon}} <img src="{file="$forum->icon" extension="forums_Icons"}" alt='' class='ipsItemStatus ipsItemStatus_custom {{if !\IPS\forums\Topic::containerUnread( $forum ) && !$forum->redirect_on}}ipsItemStatus_read{{endif}}'> {{else}} to {{elseif $forum->icon}} <img src="{file="$forum->icon" extension="forums_Icons"}" alt='Icon' class='ipsItemStatus ipsItemStatus_custom {{if !\IPS\forums\Topic::containerUnread( $forum ) &&…

Adding images to a sitemap helps Google discover images that we might not otherwise find (such as images your site reaches with JavaScript code). More: Image Sitemaps

This would be a great asset for my workflow to have the option to set a time range of featured content (records, posts etc.).

Here's an email I received from a member. "I had not clicked any button indicating that my question was solved. When following the link in your email, then try to make a new post and put in my email address, your site says that email in use by another user. I give up!" This is not the first time a member is confused and frustrated by this. Here's what's happening: A member posts a topic. The topic gets a few replies. The member receives an email notification that prompts him to mark one of the replies as the solution. The member wants to reply to the topic. He clicks the button to go to the post. Being logged out, the member…

I wish that tagging other members in a post was quicker, more like on Facebook, where: I type "@" and a couple of letters, The suggestion menu pops-up, I press Enter to confirm the first (or only) suggestion in the menu. The way it works on Invision now: I type "@" and a couple of letters, The suggestion menu pops-up, I have to press the Down arrow key to select the first (or only) suggestion in the menu, I press Enter to confirm the first (or only) suggestion in the menu. It's not so much that step #3 is very time consuming, it's that most users don't realize they have to do that, being used to tagging members the way F…

/admin/?app=core&module=membersettings&controller=referrals Seems like it was for hosting (which was decommissioned I think). It would be great to have a referral system where we can track and reward members who refer other members. Is this already possible?

After a post is reported, the user is not able to see the moderator's reply and the report status itself. The user does not know whether his report has been completed or rejected. I know that the user would have to have moderator privileges to access /modcp/ but can't this be improved in some other way? One of the easier ways would be to send a notification to the user after marking the report as "Complete". It would be nice if the user could see the moderator's comment, right?

A couple of ideas to enhance the events feature: On the day of the event, it would be cool if there was a way to promote that event more. Automatically being able to schedule an announcement or a alert XX minutes before the event takes place. In the Upcoming Events widget, add a "Happening Now" call out and a link to join the event. Add the ability to automatically remind folks via email or PM of the event.

Hi, Please think of possibility to extend current menu manager functionality and allow us to create multiple menus we can place via sidebar live edit or by placing a key code within templates. It would also be great if you could extend menu types, e.g. to bring extra menu drop down style like you have here, at IPS top menu 🙂

I’ve seen on other forum platforms, the ability for mods/admins to flag important posts in a topic with ‘threadmarks’, which can be collated and presented as a drop-down menu situated next to a topic’s pagination. Allowing users to quickly jump to areas of a topic where a significant update or subject change has occurred. I can’t find any such feature or third-party plugin to replicate this on InvisionCommunity, and I think it would be a great simple function that’d improve the browsing experience for users who return to a long fast-moving topic after a period of time.

We can create some really useful blocks to place on our websites using the Pages module. Why can't we put those same blocks into our system emails? Like newsletters, for instance.
