As in the title, something should be done with these links so that the robots do not waste time crawling and following them

If you have a container with comments disabled, it still shows the stats. It should display data from the item itself instead of comments in this case. EDIT: Probably be better if moved to Feedback.

Whenever you modify a user's account in ACP, it is displayed in his/her "Recent Activity" and IP activity. As I often deal with leakers / spammers / alt accounts, checking user IPs is something I do very often. It is annoying, when I see my and other staff's addresses in user activity, whenever I want to check something. What's even more annoying, these IP addresses also appear in the Ban IP Addresses section. My suggestion is to disable staff addresses from appearing in the user's activity and Ban IP addresses section. I appreciate it shows the actions staff has done on specific user's account, but having them listed the same way as user's "real" IP addresses isn't …

Hi ✌️. My suggestion for today is to exclude adding acronyms to URL links. Example: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/00000-test-ACP-test/ <p> <a href="https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/00000-test-ACP-test/" rel="">https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/00000-test-<abbr title="Admin Control Panel"><abbr title="Admin Control Panel">ACP</abbr></abbr>-test/</a> </p>

I come bearing tidings of a jolly amusing discovery involving your splendid Achievements system. Sit back, relax, grab a cup of tea and brace yourselves, for I've stumbled upon a cheeky little exploit in the realm of points. Mind you, this jolly exploit isn't quite viable within the confines of IPS, owing to its automatic "Concurrent Posts" merge system. However, with a clever bot in tow, one could embark on a semi-automated adventure, if you catch my drift. Here's the comical recipe for mischief: Pen a private message to your own glorious self (earning a delightful 10 points, I say). Engage in a spot of repartee, replying to said conversation (bagging an…

As it currently stands in Version 4.7.11 Beta 2, once you click on the check mark shown below the deletion process is executed, and no trace of the action is logged. I suggest that upon clicking on the check mark the request is moved to a new section called "Deletion Requests Completed" with the photo and email redacted as they would be considered PII. But the deletion request and the day it is completed should be logged for auditing purposes. This way you could detail later that a member by the name of "X" who joined on a particular date was ultimately deleted "per request" on another particular date.

ACP > Members > Members > Customer tab In my example, clothing has been bought along with a membership subscription but clothing is not Active. Purchases without a subscription would be better listed under a different tab (eg Other).

So I was reading a post by a user and I noticed at the bottom it was edited by someone else. The name wasn't a moderator or anyone who would have permissions to edit another's post. It would appear that the user made the post then edited their post then changed their display name - however the "edited by" remain the previous name. Also when I searched for the old name it didn't find any member. Is it possible when a name change happens, that any edited posts reflect the change? I know there is a history of changed names on the user profile and in the recent account activity. It would be nice if you search for a member from ACP it would find the new person if …

Hi guys, since v5 is right around the corner I want to put a stake in the ground and suggest a couple improvements to the otherwise super-cool "Copy to Database" feature that IPS has (it's one of the key reasons I'm migrating from my Wordpress install to IPS fully). Some ideas to make things a bit more holistic instead of looking like two apps that are sort-of talking to each other. 1. Option to Move Topic OP to First Comment I'm currently using a homemade plugin to prevent the Pages record content from overwriting an existing topic's OP content, but it would be great to not rely on this and have something native that supports this. As an example, a community us…

Facebook/Twitter still display the "default" share image instead of the og:image:url image. <meta property="og:image" content="https://content.invisioncic.com/a319035/monthly_2019_09/og.jpg.5e6c57e8dfa140ce4ac18f1e757d3b45.jpg"> <meta property="og:image:url" content="https://content.invisioncic.com/a319035/monthly_2023_06/image.png.f5905f18e1590fb3e64eb957642375a0.png">

Feedback #1 The current flow is as follows: User requests deletion Email sent User confirms deletion request Admin approves deletion request Account gone I think an "Admin confirms approval of deletion request" step after no.4 above would be useful to guard against accidental clicks on the approve icon. Feedback #2 Manually deleting a user via the Members page produces this asking what to do with the member's content: Approval of the account deletion request doesn't present this, so what will happen to the user's content? Answer: equivalent of "Leave" and then "Anonymize attribution"

While Comments are used in all other areas, Posts would be more suitable for the Forums app. Couldn't you use the language bit $class::$title _pl instead?

We run statistics on poll data on our site. I am GETting the poll data on topics via an API call. I notice that the only poll sent back from the API is something similar to the following (as an example): [poll] => Array ( [id] => 255 [title] => Cast your vote [votes] => 8 [questions] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [question] => Cast your vote, either Yes or No. [options] => Array ( [Yes] => 5 [No] => 3 ) ) ) ) It would be nice if the other poll data was also sent back. Example, like the pole_closed field (from the core_polls table). It would be nice to know if the value of the pole_c…

I sell ad banners directly to my clients. No DoubleClick Google or any of that. Is there or would it be hard to create a more advanced banner Ad dashboard for IPS. Ad impressions per week, clicks per week and such. The current system is very basic. It gives a start date and then total impressions and total clicks to date. More granular data would be super helpful. A better interface for the banners themselves would also be great. I would like to assign a client name to a banner and then be able to filter by the client and such.

I can't for the life of me figure out why I have to manually capture each stripe payment. I tried to resolve it with Stripe and they said this is an Invision issue. I can't find the setting that the capture method (manual/automatic), so I'm assuming that invision defaults to manual. The problem is that whenever I capture it (also the problem is that I have to manually capture it in the first place), the payment STILL doesn't get verified by Invision. This is a HUGE problem for me so I'd like to see it fixed. If there already is a fix, sorry for making this topic, but please kindly provide it! Digging through the PHP files is a mess and I didn't want to risk messing up the…

I'm disappointed to learn that the ticket system will be removed in future versions. I understand the general reason but personally the current integrated system is perfect and sufficient for my needs. It doesn't need to be redone, but it doesn't need to be removed either. An external ticketing system is expensive and when you're a startup, it may not be possible to afford an external system. They offer more than invision does, but it may not be necessary. I don't know what the Commerce module has in store for the future, but one of the reasons I bought it is precisely because of the integrated ticket system (even if it's basic). Everything in one place. My…

It could create a system that some social networks have to hide content/comments involving a specific tag or word. This would also be extremely useful for communities that discuss certain subjects such as movies, anime, games, series... I made a demo in HTML of how it could be.

Cloudflare R2 is a storage method like Amazon S3 and both are Api Compatible. R2 is a lot cheaper than S3, there are the prices: Would it be viable for IPS to add support for it? It would be a really upgrade for IPS self hosting clients, since in R2 bandwidth is free, we only pay for storage and operations.

Allow a meta image to be uploaded per topic. Currently it just uses the default share photo so every shared topic looks the same if shared on social media (means less clicks and interest). This is something I’ve needed for years which I’ve not even been able to get a working mod for.

1. Complete in order The settings are located in both front-end and back-end and it can be confusing. I can see why the settings would be separated, but it's still confusing. Complete in order for modules: Part of the ACP settings for the Course Complete in order for lesson: Part of the module settings on the front-end 2. Next Lesson | Back to Course Similar to Next Unread in Forums, there should be an easy button to progress the user to the next lesson. This should make it easier to progress on mobile. 3. Long Lesson Name / Description This could probably be truncated for a cleaner look. 4. Custom Fields …

Hi, Please consider adding a simple admin option to choose the default Code syntax highlighting. HTML being preselected just doesn't fit to many communities and it is so unhandy to select manually something different each time the Code is inserted. Also, users are submitting content fast without even bothering to change the syntax from the menu and I have a lot of work to edit their posts. Related topics here and here.
