  1. My company hired Adriano to develop a custom app for our IPS community. He was communicative throughout the process, and delivered an app we are very happy with. I recommend him for app development, and have even sent him a second project we’d like his help with since he did such a great job on the first one.
  2. @DawPi Thank you! @Fast Lane! Are you saying disabling "Post Before Registering" is a spam magnet? Or enabling it is?
  3. Guests (i.e. non-members) are being allowed to post in our community without registering for an account (see highlighted in screenshot below) on the site (i.e. becoming a member). As far as I can tell the permissions are set up correctly (screenshot below). How do I prevent guests from posting until they have signed up for an account and become members?
  4. Hi, I am getting this error whenever I set my block type to Pages. How can I resolve this?
  5. @Marc Stridgen FYI this just happened again with my new Mentoring page database: https://www.thewave.engineer/mentoring/ I resaved the page permissions like you suggested and that fixed the problem.
  6. Okay, cool - thank you, Marc (and everyone else)!
  7. Terrific, thank you! So if this happens again in the future, what can I do to "reset/save" the permissions on my end?
  8. Okay, I think this is what you're asking for...looks like permissions are set up correctly? Thanks so much for your help, by the way. Page: Databse:
  9. Hm, great question. I'm not sure. I poked around the database settings but didn't see anything like what you're describing. I'm probably looking in the wrong place. Where should I go to check this?
  10. The one in System>Site Features, right? Yes, indeed - it's published. But still doesn't show up on front end (or in preview in ACP). What's weird is I just clicked publish again, then checked the live preview in ACP and the Job Board menu item DID show up...went to the front end and it DID NOT show up, went back to the ACP and it no longer showed up. Ha, just checked the live preview and Job Board shows up again...but still does not show up on front end. What clue does this give us?
  11. Thanks, guys. Here is what I see in Pages>Content>Databases (screenshot below). Is there something else I need to do?
  12. I created a new Pages database called "Job Board" and added it to my menu in ACP. However, when I look at the site, the Job Board page does not show up. Any idea why that would be? I also have a record in the database, but since I can't see the page on the front end I don't know if that record shows up, either.
  13. Ah, so whoever the OP is will be the only user who can post?
  14. Thanks for the recommendation, Jim! It looks like Albums allows anyone to post images, and does not allow video. I'd want users to be able to create their own portfolio where ONLY their pictures (and video are posted). Sounds like this might be a custom application I need to hire someone to create. Anyone know a developer who could do this?
  15. I'd like to create functionality on our community for users to create their own work portfolios they can share with candidate employers. It should have the following requirements: Users can create the portfolio themselves (i.e. does not require admin privelages) Users have the option to make the portfolio public or private Non-members can view the portfolios (so potential employers don't need to sign up for an account in our community) Users can post pictures, videos, or a mix in their portfolio Along with the media (pictures/videos) users can include text descriptions related to the media (e.g. to describe a project they did that is represented in one of the associated picture or video) Contact me field where users can share their contact info for employers to contact them Includes rich text field where users can write a few paragraphs or bullets about themselves and their experience/capabilities for employers to view Nice to have but not a critical feature: users can attach their resume (or other files as desired), with the ability to allow anyone to download the resume/files Nice to have but not a critical feature: includes optional (users can choose whether to turn this on or not) rating capability I looked in the Marketplace but didn't see anything that could do this. Is anyone aware of a Marketplace product that can do this? If not, is this something that can be done with existing Invision Community framework? @opentype Please see above. Thanks!
