One of our members was suspended a while ago for reasons.

Yesterday, he got in contact to let us know that he received an email (screenshot below) stating that his account had been reactivated. However, when I checked his profile in AdminCP, I noted that all his restrictions are still in place -- intentionally for now -- and he cannot access the forum.

How or why would he receive such an email? Could it have been automated for some reason? Is there a way in AdminCP to see a record of outgoing mail? No one on our web team sent it.

In AdminCP, I also checked his profile activity, and it appears that he did try to log in twice yesterday, unsuccessfully each time.

Here is the screenshot of the email on his phone.

We're mystified.

Thanks,

This would be an automated email an individual would receive if login activity was detected after the user has not been active for a while. Even though a user may be banned, they can still login so either they logged in or that user's credentials have been compromised from an alternate source so another individual attempted to log in.
