I am not sure what the reason was for its removal. I did a quick search a moment ago on here and via Google and found no answers. How come we can't use them? I remember someone saying they had been turned off for a while, but never why.

These are something that have been switched off for quite a while on the site. These were switched off as it can take away from the substance of support topics
