October 30, 2024Oct 30 The alpha site was to preview the new version of Invision Community. I can only assume that once v5 is released, the alpha site will be taken down. This is the official forum for Invision Community. It would make sense for discussion, bug tracking and other v5 subjects to be located. Having said that, I have seen Invision Community staff on both.
October 30, 2024Oct 30 The alpha site was set up long before there was any public announcement of an alpha product existing. We had a few people in there testing, then invited more and more, until we got to the point of releasing this as a beta product to the masses. We wanted to keep things all in one place there for that reason. Once beta was released, we moved to using the main community, where people already have an account, and can discuss more openly. We did however say that we would leave the preview site open, for those who dont wish to create their own beta, so they can play with the new version if they wish to do so. That will eventually be closed. So, in short, there was quite a lot of 'before' thought 😄
October 30, 2024Oct 30 Author That will eventually be closed. For reporting issues, is this the right place? https://invisioncommunity.com/ic5bugs/bugs/ I reported some issues on alpha site Forum. Will they be considered? Edited October 30, 2024Oct 30 by WebCMS
October 30, 2024Oct 30 That's correct. Scroll up on this post, and you will see bugs at the top 🙂 Please report all bugs there rather than the alpha forum
October 31, 2024Oct 31 Community Expert Management As above, we had a preview site available when v5 was in alpha testing which we've chosen to keep open so people can play with it without having to install a test version themselves. The club here is where all beta discussion will take place, including the bugs which should be reported via the Bugs tab.
