Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 11, 2024Jul 11 Hi all, Invision manage the DNS settings for my website. And notification and bulk email works well enough. But I need an email address associated with my website domain. I've created an email account with a third party and supplied the spf information to Invision, which have duly added for me. I have the IMAP and SMTP information to me from the email provider, but it does not work, no matter what I try. Should I be using other webmail settings since Invision manage DNS for my website? Apologies if I am missing something obvious. Edited July 11, 2024Jul 11 by Como
July 11, 2024Jul 11 Solution You would need to contact your email provider to see what is going wrong. This is not something we can correct for you. A DNS is a DNS, it does not matter where it is hosted. Think of a DNS as an old operator switchboard. When a request comes in for X, the DNS redirects to it's value. Nothing of where that DNS is hosted should inherently cause an issue.
