Is it possible to tag private messages or are there way to organise them as well as folders. Thanks

There is no way in which to tag them, but you can indeed create folders. While in the conversation system, click Inbox, and you will notice you can create new folders there. You can then move any conversation to that folder using the options menu

Thanks Marc, I notice that the title or subject is the same as a tag for searching!!

I have just been working with messages and moving from emailing to messaging and I use folders OK.

We reserve our composing of messages for staff only so our students can reply and this is working very well now. I'm, also a fan of pinboard https://pinboard.in and at the moment I'm saving a private link for the important emails regarding accounts. This is very useful.
