Pages Question

I'm having a problem creating a double column page.  I want to columns where I imbed an image.  I went to pagers, created new page, selected double column but it only allows me to add about 3 rows of double column blocks and then goes to single column., These are image columns.   I'm trying to built a single page with about 26 pictures in two columns.

That sounds odd the two column layout should let you add as many things into each column as you want.
