Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
gaapgeek Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Hi there, Just setting up a forum and articles using Pages. However, the 'basic guide' shows that URLs for Pages articles should be sitename.com/articles/articlename. However, all URLs are sitename.com/index.php/articles/articlename. Anyone know what I've done wrong, and how to lose index.php from the URL? Thanks
Morrigan Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 You need to setup an htaccess for "Friendly urls". Search for "Friendly URLs" in the live search. Once you enable it you'll have to download the file there and upload it to your server. This will get rid of the index.php gaapgeek 1
