I'm looking to add the 194 countries to a select box field type in profiles (so, the user has to select their home country when registering).

Other than manually entering each 194, is there a simple way to do this, by editing / uploading a file? I've tried cutting and pasting the list, but it all goes into a single cell.

No, there is no shortcut I'm afraid.

You could just add an address field instead, which includes a country dropdown.
