How to change email settings for following forums

Hi,

How do I change the email settings for following forums? I thought the settings would be under notifications but selecting email under the disable option for following doesn't update the following options.

Is there any way I can change the 'one email per day', 'one email per week' options? Ideally I'd like to turn these off for free members.
