Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
vanderbroms Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Is there any way I can set up my site to have a specific country as default? I've been looking around and cannot seem to find any setting to change my default country of origin.
bfarber Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Change it where? If you are talking about the language system, you can set the default language to use. If you are talking about address fields that users fill out, their own country they are visiting from will be used as the default typically.
vanderbroms Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 When I enter venues to my calendar entries the default country ends up as US even though the site's physical address which is in Europe.
bfarber Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 It's based on your HTTP headers - where are you located (or what language did you choose in your OS, e.g. US English or British English)/

Each user should see their own country selected by default automatically. The way this is detected is by looking at a code sent by the browser. If you go here and look for "User Language" you can see the code your browser is sending. If it doesn't look right, check the settings in your browser or operating system.
