Commerce: Producing a sales report per product group

Hi there,

I'm building a website for an association that's selling artwork.

One of the things they've asked for in terms of back-end site functionality is the ability to produce an artist statement of sales.
There will be multiple artists each with multiple artworks and they want to be able to produce a report that shows what was sold for each artist because, when the exhibition period is over, they need to pay them a commission.

I was thinking of having a product group for each artist and having the artwork within those groups.

The question I have is how would I go about producing a report for the products sold within that group?

Or perhaps I could set it up another way. Happy to take suggestions.
