"Can use signatures?" Behavior in Member Groups

Should the "Can use signatures?" option inside the Member Groups definitions turn off signatures of the groups you've disabled them for in existing posts?  Or does it merely disable that Member Group's ability to edit their signature moving forward?

I know that you can toggle the "Enable Signatures" option for all in the Profiles setting.  That is not what I am after.

I want to toggle the "Can use signatures" option per member group, and have my forum only display the signatures of those for whom I have enabled it, in all posts, past and future.

It disables the editing.so if someone has one already then it will still be displayed.

you could always blitz the signature of group members via SQL query to clear them.
