Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Michael.J Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I want to force a log off after a browser is closed or after 24 hours since the last board visit. Would removing session cookies conflict with any IPB functions here?
bfarber Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Your question is a bit too generic to reliably answer. Of course deleting cookies would have an impact (for starters, it would log you out) - but would there be a negative unintended consequence? I don't think so, but you'd have to test it.

Well my hope would be for users to be logged out when ever they closed the browser window rather then cookies remember their session. But I found this unreliable with most browsers and will be looking to force a logout every X hours instead.
