Gallery shared album

If it's not currently possible, (and I don't see any options in v4.1.9) I'd like to suggest adding the capability of a shared album within the Gallery.  

A shared album would allow other users to contribute photos to a photo album started/owned by a different user.  E.g. If several users attended an event and took photos, they could all be uploaded and consolidated into a single album.

Is this, at all, possible?

That would be nice. Categories are like this though. You can set up specific Gallery categories and each member has an album, it's similar to what you want. So if you have the category Food, each member has an album in it, instead of an album called Food with their individual pics in it.

I can see the benefit. You really wouldn't want this as a category. PS, wrong section for suggestions.

Yeah, but then an Admin would have to create the category for each event so that all users can then create an album.

For example... a car club has cruises & events. One members starts a "2016 Vegas Cruise" album. I'd like for an option to be there to allow other users on the same cruise to upload photos also.

Wrong section? That's not what the description says. Can you point me in the direction of the correct section for creating a feature request, or getting this request to someone that can implement this?

It's for asking them for suggestions on how we should code, giving them feedback on the code (i.e things we'd need to do certain things), or getting help with issues related to development. 

If you want to make this as a product feedback to IPS you post it in the Product Feedback forum, or Customization Requests if you want to see if anyone is willing to do this for you as a custom job.
