Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Melsis Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi guys, I'm having issues with the notification string about several new posts on a topic, more specific on this one: {!#[?:%s commented on]} %s It looks like this: However it is listing 3 users without any space or commas, it should be "Faiyez, Estrabul, Pablosamo commented on...", this is the default string, I have not translated it, any idea on why it is not working? Has any other string affected it? Thanks!
Melsis Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Up! This is driving me crazy, it looks awful :/
Jed Rosenzweig Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 More info: It is fine in the default language file. If I just copy that language file and do nothing else to it, then the above happens. ¯\(°_o)/¯
Jed Rosenzweig Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Hey @Melsis, I think I can reproduce this error. Is the language pack that removes the commas a copy of another (eg the default) language pack? I believe something is happening when a language pack is copied and activated. I copied the working default language pack and the copy removes the commas.
Jed Rosenzweig Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Quote Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I have identified the source of the issue and have submitted a fix for inclusion in 4.1.19. In the mean time, if you simply run the support tool to clear the system caches, the issue is resolved. ^ Solutions short and long term.
