hello,

during installation of the IP board I get to the my mysql server connection but this one does not connect.

the error message is this:
Warning: Can not connect to MySQL server on 'forum-actusmobiles.com' (111)

namely that I can connect to php myadmin and the connection is good because I have access to my mysql server.

all my IDs are good.

What do you do?

Is the 3306 port open in your firewall? Are your user permissions set adequately?

have you checked the settings of globalconf.php? is the db in the same machine? if so use 127.0.0.1 as the sql_host.

I am not sure i understood it. Somehow you are telling ipboard the wrong location of the mysql server, either the IP, the port, or the user/pass .


You can always so submit a support ticket. IP guys can surely help you.
