Has anyone else noticed a slow server response time after upgrading to IPS4 RC5?  I have 8GBs of ram and quad core dedicated server with minimal traffic and it's slow as it goes.

server response time is slower with ips4 vs ipb 3.4.7 but user experience is faster. Some users on this board would suggest using memcache.

I presently have a 3.3 test board running on the same server as my live IPB 4 site and there is no doubt IPB 4 is noticeably slower. 3.3 is so fast page loads are barely perceptible in comparison. I'm personally very dissapointed with this. The new board is also consitently failing Google's Page Speed insights test.

At least it's just not my db, hopefully they can sharpen up the load times.

what I have noticed is that configuring nginx to serve the php files is according to google pagespeed 4 times faster.

I will try to use memcache today, see if performance is acceptable...
