Square Wheels Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I cleaned up a bunch of silly Member Groups that I created. Did I delete the Banned group my mistake, or was that removed when I upgraded? If I removed it, is it as simple as adding it back? Does this interact with the spam service?
CheersnGears Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 you'll probably need to re-create it and then modify your config file to indicate the group number of the banned group
sunrisecc Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Per Brandon, the Banned group is no longer required.
Square Wheels Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 you'll probably need to re-create it and then modify your config file to indicate the group number of the banned groupThank you, I have just done this.Per Brandon, the Banned group is no longer required. Why, and where did he post this? I have lots of banned users, as I'm sure most people do. They are now listed in the members category and show up on my "fake" memberlist.
sunrisecc Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 The Banned group has not been used for a while. Yes, they are now just members with the banned flag on.
sunrisecc Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 If the Search was working, I would find it for you. However, just set up a test board (fresh install) and your config will only show the following: 'guest_group' => 2, 'member_group' => 3, 'admin_group' => 4,
Square Wheels Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 The search seems to be working, it would be great if the banned members could be filtered by URL.
