Posted November 11, 201212 yr I am of course refering to this Bug Report, which by definition wasn't a bug, but really think it would make quite a difference to the way the AdminCP option to clear the chat buffer works. http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/bugs.html/_/ip-chat/chat-buffer-still-cleared-while-set-to-no-r39669 If there is no one in the room when a user enters the room, there will be no chat buffer. This is because our backend servers routinely clear out what is "active" and move it to the logs, helping to keep the system functioning efficiently. Would it be possible to find some middle ground, say the last 10 messages or so? It just gives the impression on a quiet board that nobody uses the Chat facility and is a big culture shock after members were used to using Shoutbox.
