my board is currently running ipb board 3.2.3,

im trying to install a mod that needs the following to work

IP.Board 3.3.x - Yes
IP.Board 3.2.x - No
IP.Board 3.1.x - No
IP.Board 3.0.x - No

Is that my board or not???

if not, how do i upgrade my board to 3.3 and will it cost me??

you would need to upgrade to 3.3, and the upgrade should be free unless you have an inactive license, in that case you would need to pay the $25 renewal fee and you will be good to go

When you renew your license, you go into the client area and click on Downloads.

There is only .4 in there.

will the mod iv got work on .4 ???

Yes, 3.3.x says it will work with any 3.3 version of IPB. The x is a variable to show this.

FYI if you have a custom skin you'll probably have some minor issues.

When you see a mod saying it will work for "3.1.x", the ".x" means it should work with any "3.1" version. If the first digit matches, look at the second. If the second matches, look at the third. If the third (last) digit is either a '.x' or the number is the same or lower than your version, then it should work. So if it's meant for "3.2.x" or if it says you need at least "3.2.2", since you're on 3.2.3, it should work for you. (The '.2' is lower than your '.3', so it should work, but if you had '.1', then your version wouldn't be new enough.) If the first or second digits don't match though, then either it won't work or it wasn't tested on the version you're using. The third/last digit is usually the one you can ignore while the first two usually have to match.

All else fails, go to the support topic for the mod and ask in that topic.
