Marcher Technologies Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 going to take a closer look at the php block, simply as it seems that was the suss here.... but I have trouble fathoming how that could pop anything like what you experienced.
Bobbins Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Not sure, maybe it was a combination of things. That's why I gave up coding back on the Amiga as I was losing too much hair.
tenaki Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Would this mod be suitable for adding a couple of blocks to the forum sidebar or would it be a tad overkill
Marcher Technologies Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Would this mod be suitable for adding a couple of blocks to the forum sidebar or would it be a tad overkill Its what i mainly use it for.... i actually dont parse out any other hooks, all ported content blocks... other apps sidebars is ... icing? optional? though the content ... helper block is handy.
Marcher Technologies Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Ok.. Now that this: Exists... I have decided to focus the goal and pourpouse of this mod for 3.3... and limit it down to a fine purpose as it is already Content Specific. Enter lightweight ajax-powered feed blocks, of blocks. the stock template hands you the needed code to "actually" parse them.... But in simple testing locally with merely 10 blocks the difference in exec time, much less space usage, is phenomenal when "not" actually parsing the block, but loading it via ajax. Also. Adding a hook to show block keys in the block listing..... cause that confuses ME.
