Language translation breaks JS

I've translated the phrases in word pack "forums/public_forums" into Spanish, in Admin CP mode. I'm using charset es_ES.UTF-8 for the new language pack.

With the new translated word pack I've noticed that the JS links and menus don't work:

• the link "Click here to show filter options" doesn't do anything
• the menu "Forum Management" does not show as a menu but with all items outside it (first item to its right, rest of items below)
• the user profile menu and the unread notifications menu behave as simple links (no js behaviour)

Also, ticking any of the boxes to select a single topic, or all topics, does not work: the number next to "With Selected (0)" doesn't change, and if I still click on it I get:
