Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Why-Fi Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I'm also a student and I bought it when I was 14, just save up for it. ;) Ok, now I've got enough money for it, but I just can't buy it because I haven't got a bank account I can use (the one I have is restricted 'till 18). <_< Any idea? ~Why-Fi

Brian Garcia Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Ok, now I've got enough money for it, but I just can't buy it because I haven't got a bank account I can use (the one I have is restricted 'till 18). <_< Any idea? ~Why-Fi You can go to a a local store like Walmart and buy a Visa giftcard. Then you can use that online to buy it.
Why-Fi Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You can go to a a local store like Walmart and buy a Visa giftcard. Then you can use that online to buy it. Hmm, and can a Minor buy one of those giftcards?
Brian Garcia Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Hmm, and can a Minor buy one of those giftcards? Yes I am pretty sure. It isn't a credit card. It is a gift card (debit card with fixed limit) from Visa or MasterCard, so you can use it pretty much anywhere where those are accepted.
Mark H. Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 In my opinion, *buying* the gift card isn't the issue. It's actually *using* it, in the manner described, *if* IPS' TOS specifies that you must be 18 to purchase a license. ****** I don't know that their TOS does or doesn't require that, just pointing out what I think would be the most likely point that there could be a problem. If there is no such age clause you should be able to do it. But maybe it's best if you contact Sales directly to make sure. Better safe than sorry. ;)

Mark H. Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Then it looks like you're good to go, Why-Fi! P.S. You'll like it.
