Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
kofi Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 hi there, some members use a sub-forum independently from the rest of the board. one guy is the moderator of the sub-forum. is it possible to grant him access to the acp so that he can add other members without my intervention as admin? but he should only have access to this area in the acp and not to all functions. greetings, kofi
Andr3as Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 there is a modification called "Member Teams" which adds subforums per team and the founder of that team can add / remove users to / from the team. maybe you can use this.
kofi Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 hi, thanks for the hint. yeah, I guess that's all I need.
Morrigan Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 This has been suggested a lot for making IPB more socialable and it has been proven that a lot of other forum softwares do it (SMF, phpBB, etc.) and I would like to see this as well because then I can have a few of my groups a little more independent of me or my staff but it would also be great for when the Blogs allow membergroups to write instead of just certain members to blogs. :D
