Unused SQL columns removed Does this mean that columns which were added by modifications will be removed when a forum is updated to v2.2 or that original IPB columns which have been depreciated will be removed, but other columns which were not IPB original will remain
September 23, 200618 yr I think he means the columns that used to be apart of IPB that eventually got phased out of the program that still remained in the database structure.
September 23, 200618 yr Grant is correct.For example, legacy_password was removed... and will be dropped by the upgrader.If you compare the mysql_tables from 2.1.7 to the one in 2.2 (it's not encoded) you'll be able to see the changes in the database structure.
September 23, 200618 yr I was suprised to see the tables looked more structured and it seems as if it uses less storage, but it's hard to tell on a fresh install.
