Dlf Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 1. File manger - Does what it sounds like. It manges the files of the forum, telling you what sizes the avatars and the rest of the images are. This might be good if the forum's run on another server and the host wants to limit how much bandwidth is given to the hostists(?). Here are a few screen shots of the file manager of IF. 2. Temp Delete - Does what it sounds like again. This would temporaily keep images and other things in another place for x amount of time. This would most likely be good for admins who accidently delete a image or something and not meaning to. That's all that I have right now. I'll probley come up with more later.
Dlf Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I'll try to fix that. I think imageshack was having a bit of a problem.

Why not just upload the screen shots as attachments? Be easier that way :D Anyways - I remember using ikonBoard and using the built in filemanager with that. It was pretty nice. However, *IF* one were to be built into the ACP, it should be VERY restrictive. For example, NOT letting someone be able to see (much less open) certain files, like, oh, say, conf_global.php. Sensitive data in there. Folder selection should only be editable by someone who can match the sql username/password (and is a root admin), that way additional folders can be added (or some removed), as well as a built in access level for who can access which folders (& their children). That would allow an admin to be granted access to the file manager for the purpose of edit lang files, for example, but not to be able to edit the script files.
Dlf Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 As you can see in the first two images it should probley look similar to that. No one would be able to access the "source" files except for member 1, and maybe ONLY they would be able to see what the file(s) size(s) were.
