What I've always said is that a spell checker is fine, as long as its not bloated, language compatible, made as a module, and uses few/no queries.

I thought there already is a Spell Checker? Altough it works only with IE.. or something like that.

what's the point of it's only working with IE? IE is loosing about 0.8% usage a month... people are going for firefox and/or opera... and other browsers.

phpSpell works well for me. Google for it.

^^^^ It's an easy mod to install and works well.
