Gianfire Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 the admin CP should be customizable for user group/category. So it could be possible to assign the function of create/remove/etc forum (inside this category) as an admin without giving global admin permissions for all the board.
Mesmer Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 from the roadmap ACP: Per admin section permissions
Antony Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Yes, but he means per forum administration. That would be better as a Seperate CP or as a Mod.
Dlf Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 I think this needs a bit more explaing before matt could consider adding it.
Falling Down Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 hat I think he meant is: That certain groups can actually execute some Admin CP Options - but not all. E.G. Create a new forum, but not able to greate a new group. So basicly this: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...0entry1173815

fireshark Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I think someone put this as a mod somewhere out there
Brian Garcia Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I think someone put this as a mod somewhere out there Ya Dean from Invisionize has a mod that lets group view certain parts of the Admin CP.
Why Two Kay Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 But I think what he wants is to be able to administrate a certain Category or Forum. So, Somebody could be an admin of just the Community Chat section, and be able to make and delete forums from there. Add subforums, etc. Sort of like a Moderator, but with some administrative abilities in a certain forum/category.
