I have found that when I try and set up the forum on a server, it is very complicated. I try and import a SQL database but I keep getting permission errors. Is it just me, or is there a problem here that needs fixing?

The issues lies on the server-side as far as I know.

Its extremely easy, all you need to do is create a database and the install file does it for you.

But he says he's trying to import a database so that suggests he already has one.

Maybe the import of an old database could be included in the install process? So you would get the option to do a fresh install (as per normal) and then a second option to import a database. Even have that database upgraded from a previous release such as 1.3 while importing it.

It would be good if you only had too upload one file, and it then install's the other files for you; like a program installer.

Can it get any easier? I mean seriously, its flawless to install. Of course a few chmods... but thats all. And database importing etc.. never tried it and I dont want to go through the misery lol. If there really is any.
