Thanks IPS! I am happy to see this feature in IPB3!

Looks like alot of people are having success with the FB Connect feature. This site had over 58% new visitors signing up for it using FBConnect: http://www.insidefacebook.com/2008/12/10/k...cebook-connect/ Also according to this article under number FBConnect is doing very well: http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2009/01/08/...ave-a-big-2009/ This company dropped OpenID: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/OpenID?t=anon IPB or someone should look into getting FB Connect to work with IPB as it seems to be a lot more successful then OpenID.

Hello, Since IPB3 is using the new OpenID program, I would like to suggest that IPS maybe use Facebook Connect as well. Millions of people use Facebook and the amount of people that would be able to register using FB Connect FAR outnumbers those using Open ID http://developers.facebook.com/connect.php This would certainly be a feature that could set IPB apart from it's competition. It can also probably be set up so that new users have their profile picture as their avatar! -Tom
