Is there a sidebar on this beta I don't see it at the bottom or is this version just the classic? Sorry for the dumb questions but this is all new to me.

Its on a test site localhost with new install. it's a pic from your site it dose not have it on my test site.

I have done that but there is no option at the bottom to change it from sidebar to classic where it should say theme next to contact

To do that, you'll need to go into the AdminCP and create a new theme. With that theme active (selected from the bottom), open the theme editor and make your changes, then save.

Then you will have two themes you can switch between.
