Advertising & custom locations

Hi guys

I've recently moved my community to Invision community.

I'm trying to figure out how to place an ad in a custom location via a block. I don't have the pages application yet so is there a way to do it without it? I've tried the PHP and TXT widget. Doesn't appear to work
