can you tell me where i can add "text" to the announcement, i can't find in in the acp, though the hook is there and it does show up, minus the customized text

There's no announcement. This mod uses the News Set-up feature from IPB... it only shows on every page.

Got this error when adding this mod

PARSE ERROR is bad editing of PHP file. Take a look carefully at your edits.

Thank you Adriano. I see my error :)

But now I see the "Latest News" piece there, but no news there. How does the 'news' appear?

Also, how can I add a space after the block to give it a little space between it and the gallery block?

And, can we make it so that it's only above the gallery block/forums and not across the entire site? I'd want the sidebar to be just the sidebar.

On ACP, in same where it always have been. Type news on ACP search and you´ll be there.

You should edit its template on Global Templates and add <br > where you want.

No. This mod was made exacly to show all over the board. would need to edit the mod to display only a few pages, what would mischaracterize this mod.

Sorry, I'm brand new to using IPB. I've picked up my first license after using vBulletin exclusively :)

I typed "news" into the search and then clicked "yes" on the "Show a 'Latest News' link on the board index?" option. Is that sufficient?

Nope... you must choose a forum! :thumbsup:

Ah...I think that I selected a category and not a forum. That might be it ;)

By the way, I can't find where to add the link break in Global Templates. Can you give me some assistance?
