Posted August 27, 200519 yr 7 for loading the board index? Wow! Wondering though... if a member minimized the board stats would it be worth making it not run those queries for those hidden items but run if they maximized/expanded it?

Wondering though... if a member minimized the board stats would it be worth making it not run those queries for those hidden items but run if they maximized/expanded it? That I guess would need Ajax or a board refresh as the stats (and forums) are simply hidden using javascript. It should be possible but really what is wrong with 7 queries compared to other boards.
September 1, 200519 yr You could save a additional query. But unless your board is extremly busy it probably wouldn't make much odds. 7 Queries is quite good.
