Hello, I would like to have add a button which should search for all topics of an author in specific forums. I think I could use the search URL to do this. Is there a documentation for this? I couldn't find anything yet... So, if I use the search, it always requires a term or a tag and the URL looks like this: *DOMAIN*/search/?&q=test&type=forums_topic&author=Admin&nodes=23,18,50 So I think "q=" is the term, "author=" is the user, "&nodes=" are the forum IDs. Is it possible not to use anything in the "q=", if I don't want to use any specific term, but just would like to find the topics using all other attributes? Is it possibl…

The title is not very self explanatory so I'll try here. In download settings there is an option to "Post a topic when a file is submitted". Unfortunately I had a category where that setting was not ticked and now I have 20 files with no support forums. Is there a way to add this after a file was created or do I have to go the long hard way and re upload everything?

Can guests be given access to buy things from the store, and check out with information without registered on the forum? When I've tried on mine they just can't even access the store. The menu item for the store is set to available to all users and so are the products.

Sorry, I am not technical savvy (to say the least) and in the Admin panel there is no much to find with keywords (is this possibly related to the cloud version?). In any case, I am very happy with the software, and as I did not find the procedure to add a logo in other threads (I am sure there is somewhere, but there are 100s results with keywords that contain the word logo). Three questions please! 1. What size should I ask the image of the logo and in what format from my graphic designer? 2. Where I should make the update in the Admin panel? 3. Hello, I would like to delete one language version on my site. However, I can not do that because in Language section of the Administratve panel it has a sign that it has been "Locked". I do not know how it has been lock and I can not find a place where to unlock it. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I was going into my default theme setting and notice they have no footer option, I think it's kind of funny we don't have that option as for their customers, has most CMS gives you a footer option. Reason I ask is that my coding knowlegde has gone poor with all the responsive coding, when I tried to make one it was breaking everywhere when changing view.

Hello! I recently purchased the IPS Community App. I am not trying to edit my user-groups a little bit, but struggling to find the answer to a few questions. 1. How can I add icons in front of a member's name that resides in a specific usergroup? (See attachment below) 2. How can I make it so that the usergroup's colored name shows up all across the forums rather than just on their profile and on the who's online list? Hi there - am quite new to IPS.. I am going to allow members in my community to post adult content in clubs (marked as Secret, invite only) which is great. But I'd also like to add a way to filter NSFW content in the main forums - does anyone knows of any of the below is possible? Allow a thread creator to mark it as NSFW so visitors need to dismiss an overlay that contains a warning before they can view it (with an option in profile settings to override all future NSFW warnings) Or a way to add a custom spoiler style tag in the editor so posters can wrap NSFW images/content, forcing visitors to expose it by clicking on it (with an option in profile…

Currently, whenever a guest post a comment in topic "Guest" prefix is shown before the name. For example if the name of guest is "XXXX". It will be shown as "Guest XXXX". Is there any way to remove Guest prefix before the name of guest posters?

In the general statistics box, there is a 'most users online' stat. This is common on forums I've used before, and shows the most people who have ever been online at once. However, with IPS, this number has to be entered manually. What's the point of that? How would the admin even know or keep track? I don't get it...

Hello, are there applications / plugins which allow the implementation of a phone / sms verification for new customers? We faced a lot creditcard fraud which we would like to prevent this by adding an extra security obstacle (SMS / phone verification). There are a couple providers which offer an easy to use API for such stuff. Obviously sending SMS / phone verifications cost money but 0.05$ / successful verification is better than a 25$ chargeback fee for every 10th-20th customer.

I'm not sure where to ask this, so I thought I would start here. MySQL 5.7 implements the strict features of most other DBMS's. Previously MySQL would correct a lot of errors quietly, but with 5.7, the queries or transactions will generate a hard error and will fail. Will IP.Board work with MySQL 5.7?

I'm new to IPS and trying to figure out how to use developer mode. 1. It's a bad idea to run dev mode on production server so I have to run a copy on my dev machine. Can I use the same license to install it? Will it not be treated like double installation or something? 2. After making changes to the app and rebuilding it how do I transfer the new version to the production machine? Will simply replacing the app files be enough or maybe it also does changes to DB like storing compiled js or something?... 3. Do I understand it correctly that I do not need the "dev" folders for those apps that I do not intend to make changes to?

I'm trying to set up FTP as storage for uploads but encounter the following error message no matter what I do "Could not move into the directory specified. Check the directory is correct and the user provided has permission to access it." I have created a folder in root called files/uploads and set it to 0777. The user login have access to the folder files and its subfolders. There's no error except for the one above so all the credentials are right. I don't know what I'm doing wrong anymore. Anyone help?

Hi, We have the Commerce/store plugin for our IPS forum site, and when creating a new product there are options for generating license keys. Where can I find documentation for how to use this and how to code the actual software we're selling to only be installable if the customer enters the license key (serial number) that IPS has generated for them upon purchase?
