Hi, I am having some trouble identifying why my zap is not triggering when a member is updated. Can anyone elaborate on what information Invision is classing as an edit? Results have been inconsistent with editing members; I have tried the below with varying success and plenty of wait time between the changes to allow the system to check: Display name change Email change Primary or secondary group change Custom field change The zap takes the edited member information and inserts the updated data in a Google Sheet which applies some logic then triggers another action which will update the member if something important in the sheet chan…

Hello everyone, (some context) I am almost ready to launch my new private Community using Invision Community. I understand how to make different member groups and tiers of subscribers, but I would like to do a slow or silent launch that allows me to have members sign up for the regular-priced subscription, for example, $49 per year, and these people will be known as "Members." Once a club is created by the user, there doesn't appear to be a way to change the privacy setting except by admin intervention. There also doesn't seem to be a permission to allow club owners to change club visibility/privacy. Does this exist or should I make a request for such a feature? Example use case: User creates a Private club in order to get the initial set up done in private. Once setup is complete, they navigate to the club settings to find they cannot change visibility. They then message staff to help, and an admin has to go into the ACP to change visibility.

I am trying to figure out if new members are put into the Members group, and whether I can change the registration process so that new members go into the 'New Members' group I created. I suspect the 'Members' group is hard-coded for new members to land in when registering, but cannot confirm this through the documentation. Is this the case? Due to spammers, I am manually approving new members. I want to change this back to automatic, but for new members I want to approve 2 posts before they become unmoderated.

Hi mates, as it seems the "About me" section of a member profile shows all the added text and links, i.e. Spam, even after marked as spammer. All posts and thread are hidden automagically but not the profile spam stuffing. So I guess our beloved spammers managed to bypass our spam measures... Any ideas? Thanks, Thomas

I've just realised that since some time in 2017 the option for our members to view other peoples signatures has been defaulted to "off" and it appears to be a user level setting. We use signatures quite a bit and would like to have this switched on as the default, is there any way to do this? Or do we have an issue with it being switched off as default?

I have one old Plesk server, and one new. Both are the same version and located on different Ubuntu servers with the same version. I have migrated everything to the new server with great successs, and changed all A pointers, except for the subdomain on our IPB. Since the Plesk migration also moved all databases, I wonder if it's safe to update the IPB subforum A record as well? Anyone that knows?

Our user-base is on Mac and when they take a screen recording, the Mac produces a .mov file. Once uploaded, that .mov file is embedded as expected in Safari, but not in Chrome. Is there an easy solution, or does one need to get a 3rd party video conversion tool to convert the .mov into a supported movie file format? Thanks!

I received a PM from a Member of my Board that he was suddenly getting a NOTICE about rejected emails from me or the Board. He wasn’t very specific but thought I was asking him to change his email address. I went to his membership data and saw that his email address was in red with a warning icon. When clicked a field opened saying something about this email bouncing off the Cloud Server enough times to block it. Or something to that effect. I should have screen shot that. Hello! Wondering if anyone would be able to point in the right direction here- fairly new to using IPS. I have turned off the Spam Prevention as I was messing around with the page builder, editing a lot of content in quick succession however am still being presented with a human verification process. After completing the process however, it remains on the success page stating I will be redirected shortly- I do not get redirected. When creating a new member manually from ACP an email is sent to the New Member with a link to select password, complete profile, etc. However, there is no prompt or boxes for them to accept Terms or Opt in/out. Is there an easy way (no template modification) to add those fields for this New Member to complete at the same time?

I have a Pages page with an embedded helpdesk form. I use that for the Contact Us page. If a member is validating their email address and clicks the Contact Us link, they are forced back to the validate your email page. Is that expected behavior? Thanks

Hello, Is it possible to display the last comment in the list of topics? The way my community works, it's crucial that the last comment is displayed in the list of topics/stream. Currently, when I see the list of topics in a forum, I will see the first topic's comment and not the last one. Is there a way to change that? Or is it possible to have a developer to create a plugin that does that? Thanks

On July 1 an update was pushed to our site without warning, which ended up completely crashing our site. We are receiving this error after completing a restore via a backup (6/28) and now receive the following prompt across all pages including within the AdminCP: [[Template core/global/global/includeJS is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
