It would be useful to be able to set Sort By defaults from the menu options available - for example: If I wanted to set 'Highest Rated' as default click it and then have a save button at the bottom - this way it will always be the default when access the page. Why? Because not all sort by options are available in the ACP (whether as an oversight or whatever) having the ability to do this would be a boon for everyone wanting to default to a choice of their own. The image below is from another software:

I feel stock replies would be a much better feature if you could allow mods and admins to make their own instead of relying on them to be added in the ACP. You should keep the ACP portion to add global replies that are there by default, but a separate section (maybe in account settings) where our team can create their own that only they can see and use would be very helpful. It would also add more personality to messages so not everyone is using the verbiage so it's not painfully obvious it's a canned response, which isn't a good look IMO.

When a user tries to access for example a bookmarked page such as "unread content" (which some of our users have set to as their browser's default page), if the user is not logged in, they see this negative statement, rather uninviting message. Couldn't they see a Sign in form instead, with a positive message inviting them to sign in such as "to view this stream, please sign in"?

It would be nice if you could integrate a system that can pay users based on the posts they write in the forum. In 2022 the forums are hardly used and perhaps paying users for a period could help restart many forums ... Thanks

When a member deleted from acp with "keep comments" and "anonymize attribution" options checked his nickname changes to guest but if the member has edited his post his nickname remains untouched in the edit line. I think it must change there too to complete full anonymity.

Hi team, I think that we need one field more for legal name in the site. Because the site name can be different that Legal name for mails and legal pages like Terms, Privacy Policy or others. We cant write "ACME Entertainmet LLC" as Site Name because this appears in every page as title page, so we need a "Site Name" like "ACME" and Legal Name like "ACME Entertainmet LLC". I post here and not in suggestions because this field is missing and I think that is essential for upcoming updates. Thanks a lot!

A lot of the Nexus Application has missing ipsPageHeader and IpsBox code for headers and content. For example the Donations, Manage Purchases, personal information etc. While this may look alright on the default theme, this can cause issues with custom themes which have dark background and dark text headers and content.

As an Admin, I receive a lot of PMs, some of these PMs I would like to add to a folder or be able to mark then as favourites for quick retrieval, similar to an email inbox. Can we have a folder and a favourite options for the IPS Private message messenger soon? Or maybe a third party option?

I like how tags can be used as prefix. It would be nice if you include this feature to [Forums] Saved Actions Perhaps off/on button Add tag/prefix. Example

Can you please add the option of adding Tags in Saved Actions. Currently we use tags to show the status of applications/requests and use Saved Actions to auto reply, lock and move a post. Currently we need to manually add the tag but would be nice to have it all in one!

One nice features of Github's markdown implementation is that it automatically removes double-line returns between paragraphs, and lines before and after the text content. This makes it so you never have those annoying errors that mess up the paragraph spacing. You know what I mean? People make these kind of errors all the time. I don't want to go in and edit their content to remove such a minor and common mistake, but it makes things look ugly.

I am playing around with subscriptions and noticed the following two issues: Manually added subscribers cannot upgrade their subscription - so if you manually in ACP add a member into a plan, seems they are locked into it and cannot upgrade into a better plan if they so choose in the future. The option does not exist for them on the /subscriptions page. Removing a manually added member from a subscription does not revert to old member group - if you remove a manually added member from a subscription that moved their user group, removing their subscription does not move them back to the user group they were in before the subscription.

It would be nice to have an option to choose if newly added content should mark the post as unread or not 🤔 And refresh the date and time of such post, otherwise users may not notice an addition.

Stripe supports direct debit payments. Please make an integration to support direct debit. Ideally with the ability to manually choose to turn on/off direct debit separately from on/off card payments. Or per region. So that one can choose to only accept direct debit for U.K. members, and also only direct debit for SEPA. And card payments for all other countries.

Hello, We recently started using the social login features in our community, however we wondered if there is an option to track the amount of people who have registered using this? Maybe this is something that can be added in future? Kind Regards, Thomas

Blogs in my community are public, and I know there is a setting for users to make them private and only allow users on a list to see them. But some users would like to have a blog that is not public for guests and search engines, but for all users who have logged in. Can you please add such a setting in a future release? Blogs are an important part of my community, there are more than 1000 of them. Thanks, Markus

Following this thread. Requesting IPS to delete the original images after storing the Large and Small resized images. Technical workaround for future rebuilding images, IPS can store 1 more resize Large size image (without watermark) as a backup and discard the original ones. The reason is these days many DSLR cameras and hi-tech phones are creating 20-40 MB images. When the system resizes to Full-HD it results in 200-500 KB max. Storing original size images is causing huge disk space usage and daily backup consumes a lot of server power and bandwidth. We have reached 375 GB daily backup due to these images and are restricted now to save only 2-3…

Many self-hosted servers are setup to support running just one version of PHP. All PHP scripts need to support that particular version or there will be compatibility issues. Now that PHP 7.4 is approaching it's EOL there will be a concerted effort by developers to ensure their PHP code supports PHP 8.0 and PHP 8.1 in the very near future. The challenge is that some developers will release products that will only work when PHP 8.0 or PHP 8.1 is running on a server as they will have decided to abandon support for PHP 7.4 all together. So IPS and custom and marketplace apps will support (or not) a variety of vastly different PHP versions for the next several…
