Beta 2 is on it's way!

We've fixed a bunch of bugs and now Topic Summaries works. It's the first time we'll be testing this in the real world, so we'll likely tweak the algorithm and improve its choices as we learn more about how it feels in use.

Topic Summaries are available on Creator Pro and above.

How does AI Topic Summaries work in practice? Is it just switch on the toggle and it shows, or is it a per-forum basis? Any additional settings?

When does it show? Does it show immediately, or take some time to generate, etc?

I have upgraded and have the toggle on, but can't see any Topic Summaries yet (I appreciate it is new and early days! Just trying to get my head around it).

Hi James,

Summaries will be generated over time, but you should start to see them appear fairly quickly.

We've got more information about them in our announcement blog (including a short video)

I would advise on reverting to your backup, then trying this upgrade again with beta 2. If you then still have the same issues, please let us know.

I didn't backup before last upgrade... 😥 is there anyway to fix it?

Remember the issue of the Events showing the minimal detail on overview? That seemed to have been fixed in the last beta, but in the recent one, it has reverted to the minimal daily layout again.

Emojis are still small and slow. 😭

Your site appears to be online at present. Have you since resolved this?

Please ensure you are taking regular backups, and always backup before an upgrade. This is especially important when you are upgrading to a beta. By definition, these may fail

Found it now I’m not under the influence of alcohol. Although on a positive note, the fact you can be drunk and easily update your forum with no issues, that should be on the sales page!

For anyone else that was wondering, it’s in Advertisements as expected, and in this drop down menu.

Perhaps I'm doing it wrong but can't see them on my forum yet! No background tasks currently running.

Just gone to 5.0.5 - cleared system cache, turned topic summaries off then back on, looked for a widget in the page editor...

And I'm not even drunk 😂

The initial process is kicked off by a task, if you search for 'rank' in the task manager then run it, it should start populating. It runs every hour. If you are drunk, or can't find it let me know and I can do it for you.
