Our long overdue website refresh is now live!

CleanShot 2026-04-15 at 11.15.10@2x.webp

Invision Community 5 was released well over a year ago and our website was still focused around v4 and its features instead of talking about the benefits of the Invision Community platform.

It also did not promote what we're doing very well.

We're fortunate to work with brands of all sizes, alongside passionate independent community owners and we're trusted to help guide strategy and develop features inline with the needs of communities at scale.

Beyond that, some of the most exciting work we're doing for enterprise clients has the forum element as one part of the bigger picture. Some are building the community around events, others content and one around a creator/influencer portal.

Our strength is how much functionality you get in the box, how extensible it is, and our in-house talent.

Our headline of "Community at our core, built for so much more" is something we'll lean into as the website matures. We feel that we are uniquely positioned to build a multitude of experiences around community because our platform is much more than a forum system.

We'll be moving the community navigation into the community area, I know accessing streams is a bit cumbersome right now with it being in the main navigation.

We'd love to hear your feedback and any issues you come across.

First, I like the new look which is by far more v5 than the old one 🙂

I understand the separation of the support forums for Cloud/Clasic. But why did you split the Feedback forum? We should post suggestions for improvements and new features there and I think both would benefit from having access and discuss suggestions for new features / improvements, don't you think?

There are pros and cons. I feel that feedback is slightly different between client cohorts but we will monitor and if it feels like a single shared area is a better fit then we can merge them back into one.

hope this is not phasing by splitting it out. calling it classic already wrings alarm bells and makes me twitchy

The classic label refers to the style of licensing and has been so for a good few years.

Segmenting client cohorts makes sense given how we have a sizeable group of customers that have never had the on-premises version and this is growing faster than the licensed customers.

We’re not trying to phase anyone out, it’s just a necessary move to reduce confusion across the community.

Does the new site all run on a straight IPBv5 install or is it heavily modded?

I am just thinking, like the docs section, a heres how we did this would be very welcome much like the older v4 software updates section.

The only modifications we have here are some internal tools that the team uses (and even those are being gradually phased out and replaced with native alternatives). Everything else is done using vanilla software.

Really a bit of a "how we did this" would be great esp the documentation section with some example templates.

I have always felt that pages as an app needs a lot of examples to get people going with it better as its very powerful.

Very very nice!!!! Waiting for more design updates for Invision Community Classic v5. And also full documentation for v5. What we have are v4 docs and some blog posts for v5. Full v5 docs are most wanted! Keep up the great work!

Its Beautiful Reaction GIF

All docs are now v5, and being added to almost daily. If you feel you are missing anything specific though, please shout up

Are notifications for the new site not working for anyone else, or just me?

No matter what I select, "Notification List (this is what I want)" or "Email" the setting doesn't set. Refresh the page and the options are both unchecked.

Exceptional use cases or large IC Communities should be included.

It's a badge for both Invision and for the site that the partnership between software and client. Though it's probably enterprise and some cloud-based sites (not being sarcastic or funny).

One has bit the dust...

https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/194120-notice-forums-closing-august-29th-2025/

It's fascinating to see Corsair forums move to Reddit and Discord.

This follow the larger community trend in recent years of Community Everywhere (aka meeting the users where they already hang out, instead of trying to force them to your own instance). This is a real dilemma for enterprise community teams.

It's disappointing for Invision Community communities to see that move, in the sense that Corsair clearly could not justify (or find enough value) in keeping their own independent forums.

When I signed in just now on my phone, I got an error message about having an invalid client ID. I tried to sign into the forums, but was taken to the client side. I was signed in to the client area, but upon returning to the forums I wasn't. Second time of trying got me in, but it's worth mentioning.
