I would recommend using Group Promotion so that new users would have limited permissions and then get promoted to a different group after they reach x amount of posts which then have more permissions (such as messaging).

Could you please clarify what exactly you're referring to? Please keep in mind certain items, like the create menu in the top navigation, may be hidden on smaller screens which don't have enough real estate for them.

Clubs are created on the front-end. Think of them like posting a Topic in a Forum, you can't do this from the ACP.

If you installed only the patch, you would remain on 4.7.20. If you opted into beta upgrades and did a full upgrade, you would get 4.7.21 Beta 1.

The ads would indeed have Javascript on them and what we're seeing. I would recommend disabling/removing it all to test again. Once you do that, I am happy to take another look as well.

With "Creator" you have basic page build ability, you can drag/drop widgets on to a page and that is it. Whereas, the upper tiers allow you to enable the full Content Management System of our Pages application. Thus, enabling you to create articles, recipe system, anything your heart desires.

On your community, I am seeing some errors in the browser console which are impacting some Javascript. You may wish to remove advertisement Javascript or any other custom Javascript whether that is something you injected yourself into the layout or also third party applications.

As you are Cloud and on a legacy plan, you would need to upgrade to one of the latest plans to have access to version 5 though. Yes, Downloads still allows users to sell files. You would need to have Commerce in order to take advantage of it. You can see the remaining configurations for it in Downloads settings and then you will also need to ensure that you have Payment Methods setup in Commerce.

When was the last time you recalculated the ranks/achievements? If that is not finishing, we may need to take a look at those processes.

Looks like ranks and achievements are being recalculated on your community so that area will not show. Additionally, you're still on version 4 so you will see achievements and badges area in a different spot but still on the user's profile. If you're not seeing that once the achievements/ranks have been calculated, please switch to an unmodified theme and try again. If you're still not seeing it, please let us know. With that said, you can see that the badge was properly assigned in ACP -> Members -> Members -> click the members profile -> Badges.

Do the subscriptions have similar terms on their renewals? Do you have current examples of these on your community which we can look at?

Have you checked the member's profile which you awarded it to? All badges show up on their profile which they have earned.

The query there is removing a database index for a profile field, whereas the patch was related to some data inconsistencies of previously deleted data in Forums. So you should be fine here related to that particular issue. As always with performing an upgrade, backup, backup, backup :)

Matt can clarify but usually, this is a good thing, that is the system seeing a discrepancy in your database compared to what we have for the database schema in code so the system wants to ensure everything is set correctly before attempting the upgrade. Hopefully, this will prevent issues moving forward with the upgrade. You can fix it automatically generally most of the time but if you're self-hosted, if it fails to run, you'll want to run it manually on your MySQL database.
