Hi all,

I do not really understand the attraction of badges, but I wish to play around with the system to see what I might do with it. Apart from the preinstalled badges, I've added another for testing. None of them are visible and I do not know what. I just manually awarded the new test badge to an account, and it does not show either. And yes, I have it enabled in Members => Achievements => Settings.

Any ideas?

I should add, all my badges were missing a while back Invision had to reinstall them. A related issue, perhaps?

I should add, badges do display in the ACP for each member.

Have you checked the member's profile which you awarded it to? All badges show up on their profile which they have earned.

Hi @Jim M. They do not show in their profile.

Oh interesting! Sent you a message to get more information about the account so I can take a look.

Looks like ranks and achievements are being recalculated on your community so that area will not show. Additionally, you're still on version 4 so you will see achievements and badges area in a different spot but still on the user's profile. If you're not seeing that once the achievements/ranks have been calculated, please switch to an unmodified theme and try again. If you're still not seeing it, please let us know.

With that said, you can see that the badge was properly assigned in ACP -> Members -> Members -> click the members profile -> Badges.

I am not sure I've ever noticed badges in members profile since I disabled them early on after switching to Invision (18+ months ago). Some months ago, the badges were missing and you had to reload them. I seem to remember something about them being recalculated (or I noticed), and I then forgot about it. I was investigating badges back then, but then become busy with real world stuff.

Yeah. I had already noticed that. Thanks anyway.

When was the last time you recalculated the ranks/achievements? If that is not finishing, we may need to take a look at those processes.

Never, to my recollection. Unless that was an instruction from Invision some months ago. I recall something about it, but do not recall the specifics.

Thanks. Yeah, that coincides with what I am seeing in your logs, just wanted to confirm. I've moved this to a ticket so we can look into that more in-depth. Please watch your email for further correspondence.
