  1. You can ask about that/suggest it at the Feedback forum. https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/499-feedback/
  2. These types of errors are usually server related. Additonally can you also check the server error log page and see if there are any errors logged in there pertaining to this?
  3. I've developed an app that does that should you be interested. https://www.yourforumservices.com/index.php?/topic/23-modcp-validating-members-management/#comment-23
  4. I could load your forum fine now @Will Lestrange. If it happens frequently, as mentioned above, you should contact your server about this as the aforentioned error is a server-side error, meaning that the issue arises from the website’s server.
  5. What does the error say? If you look the System Log page, are there any errors logged in recently pertaining to this?
  6. What was the latest change done to the forum prior to this happening?
  7. Are there any specific errors logged in at the System Logs pertaining to this? Does this happen to all members or only to specific ones?
  8. You should really make sure to upload the files from the latest Ipb package inside the folder that contains your current Ipb forum files and don't forget to overwrite them. If you haven't done already a backup of the database, it's best to do it before running the upgrader.
  9. Did you upload the files inside the folder that contains your Ipb forum files overwritting them? Additionally have a look at the Upgrade section at the blow link:
  10. Did you upload the files manually? If you did, what ftp program did you use? Additionally, it can also be an issue with your PHP configuration. Can you check the phpinfo for the session info and let us know what it says? If you are using a custom php.ini, user.ini and/or .htaccess files it is worth checking them out for out of date session.save_path settings.
  11. Additionally, security wise, it is always best to use the latest version of whatever software that you are using.
  12. You will have to create an account at the below link for that to obtain your key. https://www.hcaptcha.com/signup-interstitial Have you enabled the Spam Defense from your Admin Panel? Personally I would use the Q&A on top of the other anti spam protection.
  13. Additionally, don't forget to make a full backup of the database before the upgrade. Like that you can always roll back if things don't go as planned. If you have some free time, you can also do a test run of the upgrade by duplicating your main forum to the test forum and proceed with upgrading that first and see how things will go. Doing that you will know what to expect when you upgrade your main forum.
  14. In that case it would be better to perform an upgrade and not a conversion as that will merge 2 forums together. What version is your old forum? As mentioned above, try to uninstall first all third party apps/themes and then perform the upgrade. Those 500 interna errors that you got, can you rember the precise messages?
  15. Are you merging 2 forums together or do you want to upgrade your older forum to the latest version?
  16. Do you mean Ipb 5? If that is what you meant, then the app will have to be upgraded to work with that version as it will be a rewrite. That goes for all third party Ipb 4.7.x apps and themes btw. They all will have to be upgraded to work on an Ipb 5.x forum.
  17. I just updated it. The new version is compatible with Ipb 4.7.
  18. I am a little confused. That is precisely what the approval queue does. The moderated content will be visible to the general public only after someone has approved them.
  19. Additionally I would also check that the mysql.default_socket has the correct/right value for the path to the mysql.sock file. In the meantime there are a couple of things that you can try and see if they will help. Can you leave the sql_socket value empty? If that won't help can you enter 127.0.0.1 as value for sql_host instead of the localhost and see if that would help. As per the php manual, when you connect to localhost the socket connector is used, but when you connect to "127.0.0.1" the TCP/IP connector is used instead. You could try using "127.0.0.1" if the socket connector is not enabled/working, which appears to be the case here. https://www.php.net/manual/en/mysqli.quickstart.connections.php
  20. I have developed a couple of apps that enhance the ignore feature and one that adds a new block feature should you be interested. https://www.yourforumservices.com/index.php?/topic/19-reverse-block-ignored-members/#comment-19 https://www.yourforumservices.com/index.php?/topic/13-global-ignore-tachy-goes-to-coventry/#comment-13 https://www.yourforumservices.com/index.php?/topic/4-anti-stalker-protection-member-blocking-system/#comment-4
