What would really improve mobile experience would be speed, it shouldn't take two of those new blue bars to load a page for instance. Xenforo load instantly, I know you mention they are not competitors but thats one thing they still have over you

Whats this? I'm guessing its not putting it back where it used to be on mobile which I really want back. Staying on IPS4 until forum home and topic listings look better on mobile and less cluttered on mobile

The custom emoji is now clickable but still very small when selected > Can all the phone emoji be turned off yet as this is the problem I think, all custom emoji is displaying the same size as the phone emoji

You said you'd provide some sort of tool to help with the change but never did. I had to pay for the email confirmation app instead which I've had on the site for over a year but I'm sure the majority just click yes to get rid of the notice. With active accounts dating back to 2004, quite alot will be using outdated email addresses and won't be able to log in once username login is no longer possible

The biggest social media websites like Instagram, twitter and reddit are not arsed and allow username login so don't understand why Invision are forcing it

and I assume {insert="stats/browse.php"} will still work in content pages, which I use for the History section to pull in self written files and database (the main reason why I can't use the cloud hosting as I'd lose this). I'd rather that be an App too but no point getting that ready for this version of the forum now.

Results are calculated and displayed per match and overall season ratings too. I also have an adblock checker which is more to my suiting, not the ones offered in the marketplace here and online indictator which I had rewrote from an old hook that no longer worked.

4/6 of mine I paid someone on here to make, as they were specific requests. My forum wouldn’t be all what it is without a few of them at least as it adds something different

Does it allow MX records to be added etc? I use those for Google email, and Amazon SES which uses CNAMES for sending out from forum. Not that I'm moving just interested how difficult everything would be 🤔

Wouldn't know where to start. The seperate database is also big one of the tables even has 75,000 rows. Obviously it makes sense for it to be part of the framework but it would have been impossible to put together that way.

I do use Pages but I use a single line of includes for each page to bring the page into the forum after uploading them into a folder in public_html. I think the pages are too big and complicated to move into the Pages app. Below is a portion of a 1000 long line file. I don't believe this will work with the Pages app.

PM your forum so I can check it out to compare speed 👍 When you say I'm not technically savvy, maybe not, I've always got by, but not being able to upload self written php files for a seperate area of the forum doesn't come under not technically savvy, its a restriction. All cloud seems to accomodate is a basic forum.

It is on the forum here https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/history/browse/ but not part of the forum database. so if I can’t even upload those files #3 can be reinstated

Also I have a separate database on the server too, I bet that’s not allowed either, or even phpmyadmin?

I have pages but never used it for this. What about creating in a new folder in public_html and uploading multiple php/css files / images for a separate section on my forum? If it’s easily done then 3 can be written off, but still a restriction I’d not be comfortable with On another note can backups be created via ssh? I’m guessing not

The top 3 1. Too expensive, seems to be twice what I pay already. 2. It's slower. 3. Can't even access files via FTP, sounds like an absolute nightmare to upload something simple like an ads.txt file

Something I've never solved in 18 years. It tends to be one of these though, Set up an alternative member group which has a limit on the amount of posts they can make in a day, I set this as 10. This is an attempt to stop the troll ruining multiple topics with lots of posts and creating a nightmare for me to sort out. If that doesn't work then post restrictions for a few day or a week. Sometimes this just makes them worse, so end up banning them and they rejoin under a new username and the process continues. 🤨 What would be perfect though, and I've requested this for so long is to be able to ban a member from a topic. This would help so much in these situations.
