Let me explain it visually. ? You can add it all full-width columns.

  • I had a vision. Imagine, there is an app called SuperWidgets. The app has custom templates for system widgets: Recently Browsing with overlapping user avatars like in SuperTopics Who's on

You might have narrowed it down too much and no entry is available anymore.

definately entries available

I have lots coming up as per here - https://www.walkingfootball.com/walking-football-tournaments-events/

but cannot get the block to show on https://www.walkingfootball.com/superblocks/

I don’t know. I can look at it in your ACP, but the block filters (in this case event categories) shouldn’t cause any problems. SuperBlocks is just styling. It takes whatever entries the the Pages blocks provide. Does it show if you assign the stock template, not the SuperBlocks template?

So it’s not a SuperBlocks issue. Either something is wrong with your settings or you need to contact IPS about that.

I do not assign colors. I just use the theme CSS classes for “area background light” and so on.

Hi,

I really like this well done.

One suggestion / feature request is to help users use the site as easy as possible.

It would be really good if you could hyperlink the photos and text instead of just the titles.

From a userability report I read somewhere this is why the daily mail for example do this and was one of the reasons they were once (no idea about now) the number 1 online newspaper in the UK

IE this is how they do it - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html

Express do the same - https://www.express.co.uk/

Infact looks like daily mail do photos and long titles where express also do the text which is the preferential option.

I think if this can be done you have a killer app for any community as it really does look lovely, it would just be good for people who read online newspapers to have the same functionality and remove any confusion

Hi,

Where does it pull the image displayed in the clubs section?

It looks like it may pull the club cover photo and use that?

Yes.

is the calendar working as intended in this screenshot?

Seems to show a lot of info making the middle block look a little out place.

Thanks

Yes. The text block for entries without images is long to fill the space that will be occupied if other entries have images. Or if all entries have enough text it will also look fine of course. A single entry doesn’t take other entries into account though. That would get way too complex.

I have images switched on for calendar in the plugin

The GMWF Over 60's League has an image in the event

But its not showing the image on the homepage

It uses the cover photo of the event.

Thanks

Most users don't upload one so it does make this difficult to leave the site and frontpage on auto pilot

I guess I will just have to manually add them as they come in.

Hello

How it work dir Files?

I just bought and installed the plugin. I will use it for blogs.

Can you please add an option to use thumbnails with reduced file size for the images?

At the moment the full picture ist used and my users often use big files that do not fit for my homepage.

Also it would be great if the blog homepage badge would be a clickable link (similar forum links etc.).

I use whatever IPS makes accessible through templates. If IPS doesn’t store thumbnails or doesn’t make them directly accessible in a template, I can’t offer that.

The templates are not installed in the plugin section, but in the Pages template section. Make sure to follow the PDF instruction exactly.

ARGH .. I feel like a schmuck. Thank you for the fast reply. I will try again.

Reluctant to ask for help again but I added everything correctly ( I think)

I created a block for downloads files feed using the super block template.

First thing I noticed is that the preview looked the same as the default. I figured I would drop the block in anyway, Here is what it shows me.

Here is the preview, it's exactly the same as the default template.

That doesn’t mean much. It’s not a very reliable function in Pages.

Make sure you have the SuperBlocks plugin installed too. That’s where the CSS styling is saved.
