Now, any chance we could add a feature that we admins could enable that would "require" members to add short alt text when uploading images?

Always post any suggestions as new feedback topics. :)

This shoud be button in the default toolbar.(Instead of underline for example).

In our community, we have no use for spoilers. But do use underline alot.

So for me i wish spoilers don't go into the toolbar. And how it is now, is good for us.

It's good to see that LaTeX support is finally here. How do I use LaTeX in a self-hosted environment?

LaTeX support (Creator, Creator Pro, Team, Business, Enterprise)

@Moestuin

What is exact use case for the underline.

We have forum and have really a massive amount of posts since 2007 but I have never seen single post with underline.

To emphasize something. 😄

We use bold for that case.

Bold is a statement.

Ha.. Guess it depends how your community uses it.

Underline is too confusing because people will think it is a link to something.

Re the Spoiler: I just test it in 5.0.11 and its kind of annoying that the word spoiler isn't being automatically added for users. I was sure that was going to be added following the spoiler feedback. It should ideally be done automatically and using a lang string so its translation ready.

Exactly!

Example: Do not do xyz.

And the diffrence with a link is ofcouse the color, and hover over color.

Wich one is a link, one or two?

Good luck with 50+ people:

That is not an excuse. You can easily give a color to your links. But I guess, if it works, it works.

Thats what we have done. Our theme is green in color. And all links are a green tint aswell, darker with hoverover.
I think 30% of our forum is over 50years.
But my underscore usage is from the past, while i needed to make documents for work etc. Where that was a custom to do. Old habbits die hard.

Totally agree. It is confusing unless you type spoiler in the title. Would be great if it is done automatically when adding the spoiler. 👍

Off course allow the users to still change it if they want to.

Next to that I didn't notice any issues. Upgrading took a while because our database is very big.

Overall I would say Invision v5 is a big improvement and I like the tweaks and fixes.

We all do :) I think its only natural. But its how software improves over time, so its good :)

After updating to 5.0.11, one user is reporting she can't give likes on comments any more? With popup "sorry there was a problem reacting to this item". Was there a change in the way that functions?

I don't have this issue myself.

We have released a patch to address two issues:

You can apply this patch from your AdminCP on the support page. If you do not see any patches available, that means you already have the latest version.

Not for me at least.

There is no patch in the support page available and I just deleted my logos when I tried to refresh the cache :)

Well, I am a professional logo uploader. No one can upload logos better than I do 😅

Please try it now, we had temporarily pulled it whilst we tested some additional scenarios.

The install worked just fine here.😄

I’ll keep my logo ready. Just in case 😆

When creating a new post, the editor, as per usual, automatically places the blinking cursor in the text box so all you have to do is begin typing. However, if you quote a post, that function is now gone and you have to click into the open space before typing.

It's a bit of hassle on desktop but workable. On a mobile device if a user doesn't understand the new arrow at the bottom of a quote to place a new line, it is almost impossible to click into open space to begin a response.

This is quite problematic. Often text will end up in the quoted portion.
