But thank you for the reply. 46 minutes ago, David N. said: What is the difference in features between the "nobbled version of Courses" and the full enhanced version? I couldn't find that info anywhere. Thanks! I don't properly recall now - it was six months ago when we tested it. I only recall that we could nothing interesting or of much use to us. It was very limited in functionality. I neglected to test it out previously with a test installation, so I cannot compere the two. If you are interested in this, be sure to request the use of a test installation. Though, this will not inform you of the limitations of Courses in Creator Pro. I'll have a look back at our internal discussions at the time, but they were very limited because there was little functionality. I will report back if I find anything informative.

We both (and he in particular) require more detailed information: a list of actual functions (example installations would be even better). @David N. I could find no detailed notes. One of our team (who is very experienced in using and managing LMSs) tested out the nobbled version; her impression at the time: Quote I’ve played around a bit with the learning management system. Invision positions it as a ‘lightweight learning platform’ and is correct to do so. It’s also clunky and non-intuitive. I’ll take a second look at it tomorrow but my initial impression is less than favorable. She got no further with it the next day. Edited January 31, 20241 yr by Como

April 12, 2024Apr 12 I am have little issue with the course permissions. I set up to permission to allow guests to view the course. But when I try to view it without being logged in, it just shows a message saying "ENROLL TO VIEW LESSONS".
April 12, 2024Apr 12 Any plans to let the publishers decide that? Also it would be great to be able to create stand alone quizzes
April 12, 2024Apr 12 Courses are really build around members doing the course and being marked as having completed it, so they havent really been built for use by guests
April 12, 2024Apr 12 I would love to see that concept expanded to allow us decide how the features will be used when it comes to access level settings. The ability to create of stand alone quizzes would be great too.

February 8Feb 8 I agree with others who have expressed the desire for the Courses feature to be available for Classic and self-hosted licenses. Even a limited version would be beneficial, allowing more communities to take advantage of this structured learning tool without having to switch to a cloud solution. I hope Invision considers these requests in future updates.

Especially since many self-hosted customers are asking for it...Let's hope the Invision team changes the game!
Saturday at 04:28 PM5 days @Charles did mentioned on the forum that the course app "may" come to classic customers at a later date, but it seems "minds" has changed and us the classic costumers will never get it 🙁🙁🙁. I use a third-party course app. However I would pay the extra fee to have access to the IPS official course app on my classic account for the benefits of having all my major applications under one IPS roof and the guaranteed comfort of future updates and support.Ps. I'm a tinker at heart and I can't live without being able to tinker and learn new stuff. Your cloud packages doesn't allow tinkering in the backend engine plus I can't afford the price for the cloud package I would need, so classic it has to be for me.
Sunday at 12:56 AM5 days It has been mentioned again, with the same response. Courses will not be available on Classic (self-hosted).
