When we get complaints from users that the can't upload attachments, most of the times it is becuase they uploaded to much. As an admin it would be easy to see how much a user used, and on what. And the ability to clean it up.

We really need this feature to add to the security of our board, Matt said he was considering adding it but in case it's forgotten or not sure how to be implemented. "Add Topic"- & "Add Poll"-Buttons

Hello, i really would like to let disappear the buttons "Add Topic" or/and "Add Poll" at the topic list of a forum if the viewing user hasn't the permission to submit a topic. it just makes the whole design bigger without any use and users get distracted by thinking they can post a topic - but then only get an error page.

E-Mail Address = Log In Name

To keep things easy with the use of 2.1's Display Name function, I'd like to have everyone login using their e-mail address (setting used in "Converge Setup") - but the problem is they still technically have to have a log in name. So I'd like to see the option (whether it be in Converge Setup, or wherever) - to remove the "Enter your Log In Username here:" and just have the registration form make the e-mail address as the official Username - still leaving them to chose the display name. Hopefully this makes sense, if not - let me know and I'll try to clarify.

1. File manger - Does what it sounds like. It manges the files of the forum, telling you what sizes the avatars and the rest of the images are. This might be good if the forum's run on another server and the host wants to limit how much bandwidth is given to the hostists(?). Here are a few screen shots of the file manager of IF. 2. Temp Delete - Does what it sounds like again. This would temporaily keep images and other things in another place for x amount of time. This would most likely be good for admins who accidently delete a image or something and not meaning to. That's all that I have right now. I'll probley come up with more later.

Partial Birthdates

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, or if it has been left out on purpose, but I would like to be able for people to submit partial birthdates. For example, people who don't want others to know how old they are/are going to be can just list the day and the month.

I think it would be cool to have the admin of the board setup emoticon groups/packs for users to select between within their control panel. Not sure how easy it would be to implement, but would be a nice feature if you want different styles of emoticons to choose from.

JPGs in a post

I am a neophite board administrator, but a pretty savvy basic IT person. Can someone tell me a straightforward way to include a jpg that has already been uploaded to the server, in the body of a post... so that it can be viewed "on the board" not in a new window. The best I've been able to achieve is for my Members to click on "attachment" whci of course opens a new window for viewing. Anybody?

Viewing Groups, # of members, how about...

Well one thing that IPB does have is when you are viewing the groups it tells you how many members are in a given group. But what it doesnt tell you is how many members are in a given group as a secondary group. What would be cool is if you could have a column for the number of members are set in this group as a secondary group rather than just primary. You could do something like this mgroup_other LIKE '%,3,%' OR LIKE mgroup_other '&3' OR LIKE mgroup_other '3%' (3 is the group number) :D

Check email in AdminCP

We have a management@mysite.com email and have a few managers that have access to adminCP. The way our site is run, it doesnt make sense for only one of us (me) to check the email. Would make more sense for them to be able to check the email as well... Thus I would normally give them the login information. But what would be REALLY cool is if you could check a single email address in AdminCP and send emails so all the managers can go to one place for this address. :D

I thnik we should have an option to see the new topics started since the last visit. This would make it easier to check whether the topic makes sense, or just for a general overwiew. Futheremore it would be great that if we click on "View New Posts" and then checking out a topic and then AGAIN click "View New Posts" that that topic isn't there anymore... is this possible at all?

Moderating options on search results page

I have recently moved my forums from PhpBB to IPB. Now I have some problems, because I am reordering forums and have to move more then 3000 topics. The easiest way would be using search with different keywords. The search works very well, but the problem is, that when I'm viewing the search results page, I don't have the moderating options to select and move the topics. Would it be possible to add this feature? I think, I'm not the only one with this problem and would be very grateful if you could help me.

Keyword highlighting in titles

When "show results as posts" in a search, keyword matches in titles really should be highlighted as well in the displayed results. I rely on the highlighting to show me where the matches are and as it is, if the keyword match is only in the titles, you see no highlighting at all for the post. This can be somewhat confusing especially if the post body is very long as I kind of scroll in the post looking for the match. I know this is probably a low priority problem, but I'd really like to see this fixed. It shouldn't take that much to apply the highlighting to the titles as well as the post body.

Just changed my e-mail address in my profile, and it sent the validation. My server happened to be down at the time, so I didn't receive the e-mail. I went to hit Resend Validation and get the message to enter a valid username 3 to 32 characters. My e-mail address is now frozen and I can't re-change it, I get the message that I'm already pending. BUT if I use my login name (JohnMalinowski), the validation e-mail sent properly.

Hi in 1.X when cklicken on "today's top 10 poster" there was a line at the bottom: xxx posts made today. I'm missing his in 2.X.X, would be great to have it again in 2.1.0 (or 2.1.1). Plus a line in statistics an "average posts per day" would be great as well...

Inline Image Resizing

I dont know if this feature has been suggested before, but i did make a search and couldnt find it, so here it is. I have skinned my forum to a fixed width. And when a member links a picture within their post or signiture that is wider than the fixed width of the forum it scretches everything out! Can you please incorperate a feature that checks each image linked and resize them to a predefined width? This would be really cool and keep things alot neater within the forums that are set are fixed widths! Cheers for reading, and add your comments/support in a reply! Gaz

Erm this was in 2.0.4, so like when you got a PM it displayed it as so on the main forum view in a frame! Today i got a PM, and the My Assistant popped up displaying it? is their a way to switch back to the old style. as i dont like it this way :( e.g. through admin CP or UCP
